Ever since our son started here he has always enjoyed going and the staff have made him feel so welcomed and at ease. The feedback when you collect your child gives a great picture of what the day has entailed and they always answer any questions we ask. Even though there was a break during the ‘lockdown’ our son settled back in quickly and the management (who were the only staff in at the time) were really nurturing, then it’s been great to get the whole staff back and he really enjoys each day with the different people working with him. He is always excited to go to the nursery and he eats so well there too! It’s a shame we can’t share the experience because of the restrictions at the moment but it will be lovely to see what he gets up to later down the line. It really feels like a home-from-home setting! 

Our Daughter has been attending this nursery for 5 months and as a family we love it. She settled in straight away and she's always excited to go there. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We're well informed on the sheet that comes home every day with what she's had to eat and drink, sleep times, nappy changes and the activities she's done during the day. We leave her there knowing she's in safe hands and that she'll be having a wonderful time. They do lots of different activities and she brings lots of things home that she's made. We just wish that we found Farthing Wood sooner than we did! Without a doubt, our next child will also be going there. Thank you all at Farthing Wood!  

Our son started at Farthing Wood when he was 9 months old and he has progressed so much in the time he has been there. My son loves it that much he has been known to shut the door on me in a morning? all the staff are lovely and provide the best care and educational needs for each child. Our son comes home with pictures, a newsletter with what he's eaten, how long he's slept and what activities he does each day. He also brings home a journal which explains whats he is progressing in, with lovely pictures attached to the activities he's done.

Farthing wood is a brilliant nursery!

After a very poor previous experience of another private nursery, I approached Farthing Wood for my son to settle into the baby room. All I can say is the staff here are amazing! My son has settled so quickly and the staff communicate clearly and truthfully. They really have made our experience seamless. I can drop my son off in a morning knowing he is incapable, safe and loving hands. My son’s special dietary needs are catered for at all times and he loves it here. We feel apart of his nursery at all times. As a mother, Farthing Wood staff have made leaving my son stress free and a return to work after maternity leave and a pandemic easier. I cannot recommend Farthing Wood enough.

Highly recommend! Farthing Wood is my little girl's second home, she is always so happy to go and has the biggest smile on her face when picked up. She has come on so much in the last 18 months and Farthing Wood have been such a big part of this. The staff are just amazing and treat her like she is one of their own family. The staff really do go above and beyond. It really puts me at ease knowing how happy she is whilst I’m at work. This place really is just amazing, 5* keep up the amazing work you all do!

My daughter has social anxiety when it comes to strangers and I was so worried to take her to nursery but I had absolutely no need to worry, she was welcomed with open arms and looked after so well that it only took her a couple of days to settle, which is a miracle in itself.

They tell me how much she has eaten and what she’s eaten over the day so I know exactly what to give her when she gets home.

I feel so blessed to have found a nursery like Farthing Wood to send my daughter to and that I can feel so relaxed while she is there.

I could not recommend Farthing Wood highly enough for your child to go to.

We moved our 3 year old daughter to Farthing Wood in January from another nursery and she loved it straight away. She settled in instantly and has made great bonds with the staff and other children. The staff are warm and kind and do lots of fun activities. My daughter's spelling and numbers have come on in leaps and bounds and I'm really glad we chose to move her to Farthing Wood. I am sending my other daughter there when I return to work and know she will be in safe hands.

Fantastic nursery- the staff are absolutely amazing go above and beyond. 

The nursery is run like a close knit family (not just a money making business like so many) and they really do have the best interest of the children. They are both knowledgeable and approachable and will often put themselves out to help and support.

I honestly can not recommend this nursery and it’s staff enough. 

Farthing wood is such a lovely place for my little boy to go, it’s got a lovely family atmosphere and my little boy has thrived whilst in their care. Will be sad when he has to leave his little reliable, friendly nurturing family and go to school. (He eats better there than at home too)

My little girl loves it here, the staff are so friendly and their flexibility is fantastic.

My husband and I, as first time parents, tackled the process of finding a nursery like a military operation: beginning with our requirements from a nursery (opening times, progression, etc.) and ending with a comprehensive spreadsheet of all the applicable nurseries in our area (because that is just the kind of woman I am, and my husband had his own priorities so included those and went along with my over-enthused plan!) We visited EVERY nursery on said spreadsheet, and as you can imagine, this was an epic task in its own right. After two months of planning, enquiring, visiting, reading and admittedly, out-right snooping, we came to the conclusion that Farthing Wood was the place for our gal.

You may wonder why I have bored you with the indiscriminate details of my sad and geeky nursery hunt! I have my reasons and at the forefront of those is to put absolute emphasis on the process behind our decision, to ensure that those reading

this review are left in no doubt about mine and my husbands feelings for Farthing Wood Day Nursery.

From the outset; application process and the completion of forms, the staff there have left me in no doubt about their ability to care for my daughter in every sense of the word. They were supportive, and not at all condescending, in the face of my

neuroses! They answered every ridiculous question I posed and understood that when I called to check in because I had a "gut feeling"; not once was I made to feel a burden or in need of a psychiatric assessment! Not only are my daughters needs met on a daily basis, but so are mine! Which is an enormous part of the equation when dealing with anyone looking after your child; especially when it is your first and you are lacking in any experience whatsoever, as my husband and I were.

There are simply insufficient words to describe the joy we feel when my daughter runs through the door to see her friends, key worker and staff. You know the decision you've made is correct when your child can't wait to go to nursery school

and is blatant at informing you that she is staying at the end of her day.

She is two now and has attended this nursery since she was 9 months old. Without question, my husband and I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone and to send any future children there. I consider the staff to be my friends, the

environment to be a second home and the education second to none. As the old Chinese proverb tells us "Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere" and as a result my daughter can now follow her desires across the world with the confidence that she KNOWS she has the map in her heart. 

I chose this nursery for my first child after visiting 2 others. It was the most welcoming and stimulated the children the most. There was no where else I would send my second child (currently at Farthing Wood).

My first child was so happy there and my second is too. The staff are very friendly and comforting when a child gets upset. They have a good varied diet which my children have always enjoyed. They celebrate many occasions through the year which are always thoroughly enjoyed.

I highly recommend this nursery. 

I would recommend Farthing Wood to anyone. I looked around lots of pre-schools (as did my mother separately), prior to my youngest son attending there. We both agreed this one was the best. The staff are professional and friendly, the culture is very positive and the facilities are better than at any of the others that I visited. I like the ambience of the place. They keep them busy with a wide range of activities and the written daily reports regarding my son’s activities and even what he has eaten are over and above what I expected. Had I been in a position to send my two elder children to Farthing Wood when they were at the relevant age, I would have done so. Having visited the place, my elder two children compare it very favourably with where they went and have said that they wish they had gone there – and they are fussy. I myself can think of nothing negative to say, despite being widely described as “overly critical”. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. 

My daughters LOVE going to Farthing Wood. They are always happy there and are always full of praise for the staff. They have been fantastic in helping the eldest prepare for starting school in September, learning her phonics and the alphabet. The Staff are friendly and helpful. I love the note home that I get every day to tell me what they have been doing during the day. I would recommend Farthing Wood to anyone. 

Isla has been attending Farthing Wood for a year and her confidence has rocketed thanks to the staff there. I am happy leaving Her there as I know she will be well looked after and all her needs will be met. Staff are friendly and caring and constantly keep you posted about your child's progress.

An EXCELLENT nursery! 

I have now had two children who have attended this nursery. My eldest child is nearly six and she is doing really well in school. I am sure this is partly down to the great start and experience she had at Farthing Wood. My two year old really enjoys herself and seems really happy to go to nursery each day, which I think speaks for itself as to what a great place it is. 

Farthing Wood Nursery has a great set up with creative use of space and inspired toys well beyond the usual range. The communication with parents is excellent (via Newsletters, noticeboard and the daily information sheets). Activities are well organised, the wall displays are ever-changing with the children's own work and plenty of art work is brought home too.

All the staff are professional, caring and hard-working. My daughter is extremely happy at Farthing Wood. It's a great feeling being able to go to work for the day and not worry about the care of my daughter knowing that she is happy where she is.

My second daughter is now at Farthing Wood and my eldest daughter still refers to her time there with wonderful memories.
